Dr Ger Barrett is a Principal Partner at Cashel Medical Centre and provides a full range of GP services.  Dr Barrett has been providing dedicated medical care to the people of Cashel and surrounding areas for over 30 years.

Dr. Brigid Halley

Dr Brigid Halley is a Principal Partner at Cashel Medical and is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin.

Dr Halley graduated with a First class honours degree in 2008 from Trinity College Dublin and was awarded a Gold medal in her final year medical exams.  Along with one other student in her final year exams, Dr Halley had the rare distinction of achieving First Class Honours across the board including Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, ENT, Ophthalmology and Psychiatry. 
In addition, Dr Halley was the recipient of the Professors Prize in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and was a runner up in the Board of Governors Examination in Paediatrics. Dr Halley was elected to the prestigious Trinity Scholars in 2005 on the basis of her performance in the Trinity Scholar Examinations. She also holds a First Class honours degree in Therapeutic Radiography from Trinity College Dublin.
Post graduation Dr Halley completed her initial post graduate years in the various Dublin Teaching hospitals gaining valuable experience in a wide range of medical specialities. She subsequently relocated to her native Tipperary and joined the South East General Practice Training Scheme and went on to complete her MICGP qualification. In the process she also pursued further training and qualifications in Palliative care, Minor Surgery, Diploma in Gynaecology/Obstetrics, Musculoskeletal Medicine including joint injections, Dermatology.  Dr Halley is a qualified LARC tutor (Long Acting Reversible Contraception) and holds a Certificate in Family Planning, Occupational Health, Addiction Management, Diabetes Care, Child Health, Chronic Disease Management and Emergency medicine/ ACLS. 

Dr Halley remains highly committed to continuing her professional education and staying up to date with the latest medical advances.

Doctor Diarmaid Gannon

Dr Diarmaid Gannon is the newest Partner to join our team joining the practice in 2020.

He graduated from medicine in UCD in 2005. Following graduation from UCD, Dr Gannon completed his medical training in the Mater Hospital Dublin and then in the Mayo Clinic Arizona as a Cardiology resident.  On return to Ireland he completed his higher specialist training on the Western GP Training Scheme in 2014. He holds an ICGP Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine. Dr Gannon is looking forward to seeing patients from all ages and backgrounds. His special interests include Men's Health, Heart Disease & Prevention and Mental Health.

Doctor Sinéad Cooney

Dr Sinéad Cooney is a Partner in Cashel Medical Centre since 2023. 
​She graduated from Medicine in Trinity College Dublin in 2008 and completed her higher specialist training on the South Eastern GP Training Scheme in 2014.
Dr Cooney worked in Canada for 5 years focusing on chronic disease management and women's health before she returned to Tipperary in 2020.
She had completed post graduate education in many aspects of general practise including long acting contraception, menopause, mental health, addiction and obesity management.
