Travel Vaccinations

Travel Health
If you are planning a trip abroad, on holiday or for business you may require travel vaccinations.  Destinations such as the Caribbean, Asia, Africa, South and Central America usually necessitate vaccinations, and for some countries it is mandatory prior to entry. For some countries, anti-malarial tablets will also be required.  The practice is an approved Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre and we keep all common vaccinations in stock, such as vaccinations for; Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio, Typhoid, Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A and B. We are also a designated Yellow Fever certified clinic.

Your doctor in Cashel Medical will be able to give you up to date health information for your destination to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable trip. When you know your destination book an appointment with one of our doctors and we can advise you on the appropriate vaccinations, it is a good idea to book well in advance of travelling as some vaccinations require 3 separate injections. However for others, you can still get vaccinated up to 2 weeks prior to travelling and get sufficient protection. If you have information on previous travel vaccinations please bring this to the consultation as this will help the doctor decide what vaccinations you will need. We will also give you advice on your general health when abroad, managing diarrhoea and vomiting, sun protection and prevention and treatment of mosquito bites. If you have had any travel vaccinations previously, it would be extremely important to bring any details about them (e.g. your ‘yellow book’) along with you to your appointment. Please complete a questionnaire for each member of your travel party.
We would encourage your to complete the form below prior to your appointment a member of our staff will contact you by phone to arrange an appointment for your vaccinations.
